Given that a multiverse contains a number of possible universes each which may have different physical laws (or combinations of physical laws) it follows that this universe, though unlikely, may be the only one with conditions suitable for the development of stars, planets and life (at least as we understand it). In fairness, though this universe may be the only one with these conditions (attributes) it can reasonably be argued that since a multiverse by definition contains everything that exists, it must contain at least the potential for the physical laws of this and all other possible universes. I use the term M-theory in its popular catch-all sense of course.

I didn't say that I accepted M-theory or the multiverse concept as true, in fact I suggested that it may be as fantastical as your supernatural self-creating god. I said that it provided a framework by which we can think of the universe as having attributes which did not pre-exist it. Badly expressed, perhaps, but essentially true I maintain.
