Thanks Phil, like the sound of your Liteace. I've always liked the Liteace, a really neat looking day van. Quick Q: Why do you need to replace the Liteace? And Phil, we do need a solution for windows. I know that someone makes window insulation kits for VW T4 and T5s, I wonder if they'd consider making kits for other vehicles? What do you do to keep the heat in/out in the Liteace?

Oh lom, It looked really lovely, a bit empty but lovely just the same. The more I think about your wendy house the more I see the sense in getting one…. the only problem is that Rob likes the idea of a VW campervan ….. and as he's the one who mostly does the driving I can see a VW hurtling towards us a break-neck speed . OOhh… I do so feel the gypsy in me soul !

Wow, great posts. I am glad that somebody within the Hip Hop community is willing to say something when it comes to business and politics. I say if you are a responsible adult, be into fashion, music and tech, but don't forget business, professionalism and politics cause it effects your communities life and your personal life as well.
I may not agree with everything you wrote here, but one thing is for sure: we are in trouble.
As scared as I am, I am not worried because I am not “buying gold”, but I am investing my time and energy to understanding business and finance. If everything crashes, and I mean everything I am ready and do what the rich do: use defeat and turn it into financial victory (even if it takes 20 years).
I advise EVERYONE to learn more about business and finance no matter HOW LONG it takes to learn it. Understand why a dollar is worth a dollar; why your check does more or less; how you make your money truly work for you and not just spend it.
If you can not read a financial statement, know what are financial ratios are, what a 401K, 457K IRA Roth is, who it is to be “in business” and so forth then I suggest you get to know these items.
I am not blaming the little guy, not at ALL. But if you want to tell people to wake up to what is going on, then waking up ACTUALLY means understanding business and finance. You understand those things (even if it on basic level) you will better control your money, who you vote for and why, and be able to ask the right questions to your financial advisor's and anybody else you can think of.
Knowledge is power. Learn about business and finance and you will be scared, but calm, like I am.

Okay, folks, enough is enough. I'm perfectly aware that JJ Cale wrote the song. However, the song that I love – and therefore, the one I was talking about in the original post – is Cocaine as performed by Eric Clapton. JJ Cale wrote it, but Clapton's version is the one I was talking about when I foolishly exclaimed “Oh, I love Cocaine!” in the middle of a crowd of people. In retrospect, I should have either mentioned JJ Cale in the original post or just left the artist out entirely. I don't expect this will stop people from “correcting” me – especially trolls – but I wanted to give my say on the matter.
This excerpt was taken out of context, if you read, or better yet listen to the preamble to it. He wasn't inviting a terrorist attack in San Francisco, just pointing out that all Americans get the benefit of military spending and that those in San Francisco should pony up their share for it. AmericaBlog was misleading to not quote the whole thing.
