No, it's not being done selectively—everybody gets a virtual strip search at 68 airports and more to come. A list of the airports appears below.
TSA currently has 385 scanners deployed nationwide, and more than 1,000 will have been deployed by 2011.
A loose network of groups is calling for a boycott of the full-body scanners on November 24th, the day before Thanksgiving and one of the biggest travel days of the year.
Called National Opt-Out Day, the campaign is intended to send a message to the government by causing long delays in security lines when passengers refuse to go through the body scanners and are subjected to pat-downs.
The Electronic Privacy Information Center (EPIC), one of the organizers, describes this as a bodyscan boycott—not a travel boycott. Travelers who opt out of the body screens have to undergo an enhanced pat-down, meaning they will have to suffer the indignity of having screeners groping them below the belt.

If I were organizing the bodyscan boycott, I’d be handing out stickers like they do at the polls that say “I Voted,” only my stickers would say: “Felt-Up for Freedom.”
If I were going over the river (and through the woods) by air this holiday, I think I’d be more willing to do my part if I earned a sticker for getting groped. The TSA screenings need to be ridiculed for the joke they are.

I think these numbers are potentially misleading. For some countries, I agree you are significantly disadvantaged in your application, but not in others. The majority of these large numbers of international applications likely come from China, India and South America. I would venture that as an international student, say from Holland, Ethiopia, or Australia, you would have a much easier time getting in. The diversity goals of business schools apply not only to international students as a group but within the international student group. So I would venture – apply away, my international friends! But if you're from a country with a huge number of applicants, just know that you're going to need a 780.
