There's another example on the BBC News website tonight. An ex-soldier, turned PCSO, from St Lucia has had his bid for citizenship turned down because he wasn't in the UK on the same date five years earlier.

He wasn't in the UK at the time because he was in the army and had just been posted to a UK base in Germany.

You so are very correct about the overabundance of vampires in the novels for young adults. Publishers sell what will make them the most money; sometimes at the expense of a well written novel. Check out my first and recently released novel, Long Journey to Rneadal. This exciting tale is a romantic action adventure in space and is more about the characters than the technology. While I have written this novel for a wide audience, most teens of fifteen or so will enjoy the story. Don't let that hold anyone back, adults of various ages have already enjoyed Long Journey to Rneadal.

Generally, I buy my stuff from outlets on ebay so I don’t have to pay the import shipping. Evil Ink needs a direct UK base!

Another popular trend is for women (and in some cases, men) to use Halloween as an excuse to wear sexy or revealing costumes, showing off more skin than would be socially acceptable otherwise

There are more Halloween parties than there used to be here in the UK, but the base of that I would say is business, and from what one can gather its much bigger business in the States. Which is surprising if you take the view that its a pagan festival.

Anyway I shall be out on Saturday as Tina, but don't feel I shall be 'celebrating halloween'. Its just a chance (as any other day) to dress up.

Have a good day
