Certified Fun Locations – MotorhomeFun

by admin on May 13, 2010

CFL’s are certificated to allow up to and including 5 motorhomes to stop for short stays of a week or so. The actual certification process is undertaken by MotorhomeFun, for the Landowner, and means that Local Authority permission is not … Do you have some spare land? Do you know of some land we might use? Ideally in a quiet location? Room to park a motorhome or two? Access to a water tap and a foul drain? Send me a PM and I will get an application for out to you …

I agree that any setting of illegal budgets must be a tactical decision rather than one of principle, and setting an illegal budget is effectively the nuclear option of municipal socialism which backfired horrendously in Liverpool.

In my view there is no local authority in the country today which is strong enough to challenge the central government in 1980s fashion. But I'm curious what others think about an the possibility of an equivalent action from the Greater London Authority, or a National Assembly. They would seem to have the power to fight Condem cuts if they choose to.

Not being too picky…or maybe I am…but the notes at the bottom of the press release on localism didn't refer to 'strategic elements of local authority plans' but actually referred to 'strategic local plans'. I nominate this as the first mention of the word 'strategic' with the word 'plan' in a positive way in a coalition statement.

Having lived in London, Paris, Mexico City for long stays – and Singapore, Hong Kong, and Seoul for short stays – plus having visited maybe 50 other countries : The United States is the best place to live in the world. No fear of reprisals for bitching, no dumbass monarchies, freedom to express yourself however you want…If you like cold – live in Maine, you want to surf – live in Florida, California, or Hawaii, want the forests – take your pick, big cities – NYC tops them all! God bless the US – it still has its greatest days ahead of it. Europe is a faded glory, sort of like your 80 year old grandma – who used to be a party slut.

In the North they still have Rates set by the local authority. In the republic there is still commercial rates in operation. Water charges and waste taxes are also paid locally and the Motor fund does some into local authority coffers on distrubution. However, since local taxation on individuals was scraped before Article 9 came into being I take it they fall outwith this stipulation as a smaller country with at the time only one level of taxation.]]>

I think the eligibility criteria varies by local authority. It’s incredibly confusing and messy
