As a photographer I have little use for video in a DSLR and the prospect of having to have my camera and menus cluttered by extra junk I don't want (and will have to pay for) does not fill me with happiness. I can't help thinking of the most useless mobile phones which are so packed full of stuff like GPS, video and cameras that they fail miserably as a phone.
Having just spent a week discussing what pictures I would put up in which room, I can appreciate this article more. When putting things on the wall my wife and I discussed at length reasons why a particular piece would get placed in a certain spot. I can't imagine trying to put a noisy video piece somewhere. If I were to ever buy a video piece, I would make it silent.
